OFF THE HILL

Snowboard Springg Break is far more than just a product test – it’s the #bestweekoftheyear and you’ll have just as much fun off the hill as you will on it. As well as the full line up of evening events, there are also a ton of fun activities to do in the afternoons. Mayrhofen is a sizeable mountain town and the Gasthof Zillertal sits just at the edge of it – close enough to be able to walk in a few minutes but far enough to be secluded. With a town of this size, there is plenty to do in the evenings – if you have enough energy after riding all day and partying the night before!

Skatepark

The concrete park in Mayrhofen is a beauty – big, smooth and with bowled corners, a street area and transitions all over the place. It’s open during daylight hours and there should be the opportunity to have a jam one evening – check the schedule as we update it! This spot is sure to see some full on sessions during the week, pack your stunt wood!

BOWLING

If you’ve got the energy, then the bowling alley in town is a super fun way to burn a few hours – and calories.

KLETTERSTEIG / VIA FERRATA

Klettersteig or Via Ferrata is a form of climbing where a steel cable is anchored all the way along a route. You are harnessed to the cable which means it limits any danger of falling. It’s basically a super safe way to enjoy the thrill of climbing with out (too much) fear. There is a Klttersteig route right behind the Gasthof that offers 4 routes, 1 with hochseilgarten. You can do it as long as you’re just a little bit fit and are not afraid of heights. Also for kids, from a year or 6. Start with the ‘lightest’ route if you have never done it before. At the top is a nice hut with playground, at the same point where the trail goes up. Harnesses and associate gear can be rented from the Gasthof for €15.
